Aliens Colonial Marines Review & Gameplay

Aliens colonial marines has had some what of a car crash of an development with up to 4 studios developing the game Gearbox Software, Nerve Software ,TimeGate Studios, Demiurge Studios (Wii U).

It all starts Seventeen weeks after the events of Aliens the search-and-rescue Colonial Marine team on board the Conestoga-class space cruiser USS Sephora receive a distress call sent from the USS Sulaco. The Sephora sends squads to investigate the missing ship, in orbit around LV-426 and not Fiorina-161 as it was supposed to be during the events of Alien 3. A massive xenomorph infestation is discovered inside the Sulaco, and several marines are killed. While investigating the ship Corporal Winter, Sergeant O'Neal and Private Bella discover Weyland-Yutani PMC commanding the Sulaco and using Sephora marines as hosts to the xenomorphs. The hostile corporate mercenaries attack the Sephora using the Sulaco's weaponry and both ships are destroyed after the Sephora retaliates. Winter, O'Neal, Bella, Captain Jeremy Cruz, Sephora android Bishop, and drop ship pilot Lieutenant Reid crash-land on LV-426 and take shelter in the ruins of the Hadley's Hope colony complex, which was almost completely destroyed after the destruction of its atmosphere processor. Captain Cruz orders all the other survivors from the Sephora to gather at the Hadley Hope's ruins.

Aliens Colonial Marines isn't the sexiest game I've ever played, but when you can put a that a side then it starts to look promising because it looks like aliens and feels like aliens! They have everything from the Pulse Rifle To The Motion Tracker which will get any aliens film fan heart pumping... I know it did to mine! Also Micheal Biehn has reprise his role as cpl Dwayne Hicks, also Lance Henriksen as Bishop but when the novelty wears off it turns into an very very basic FPS and repetitive most of the time as time is spent holding down the fire button while aliens run at you. It's one of the most basic, one-dimensional first-person shooters I've played in a while, with no tactical depth to speak of. Smart enemies are absolutely crucial to a good FPS also the dialogue is terrible too... Really seriously bad! They've tried to ape the film's notoriously macho military slang, but it comes across like a cheap imitation, and the actors' attempts to sound like hardened soldiers are unconvincing with sayings like (you know the drill chicks and dicks) overall its a disappointing affair, to what could have been an amazing game from what i think is an amazing franchise.

Verdict 3/10

The Liberty Dome is a veritable urban rainforest teeming with overgrown trees, dense swamplands and raging rivers. Within the Liberty Dome, seven distinct and treacherous environments become known as the Seven Wonders. Prophet is said to be on a "revenge mission" after uncovering the truth behind C.E.L.L.'s motives for building the quarantined Nanodomes. The citizens were told that the giant citywide structures were erected to protect the population and to cleanse these metropolises of the remnants of Ceph forces. Dead Space 3 Review & Gameplay Footage

**May Contain Spoilers**

Dead space 3 is a third-person shooter survival horror video game, developed by visceral games and published by electronic arts.

You start with an intro explaining about the markers, If you haven't played dead space before, then the markers are a statue of unseen power and there's powerful people who want to harvest this power into unlimited energy. After the intro of Dead Space 3 it follows the Galaxy's unluckiest engineer, Isaac Clarke as he takes up the fight to protect the human race from the mysterious markers and its necrospawn. This begins with Isaac heading off to rescue Ellie, his missing girlfriend who returns from Dead Space 2, Also Isaac is joined by John Carver, the first playable co-op character in the series.

For the first disc of Dead Space 3 it will be the Dead Space that we all know and love. Running through dark long tunnels with a sense of dread as you don't know what will be around the corner. You're low on ammo and life, and on the edge of your seat hoping that the next Nercospawn onslaught isn't going to happen when you're low on life and ammo, which 9 times out of 10 does happen.
You then find yourself running for your life trying to somehow stop with Jedi-like kinesis to impale enemies with their own torn off limbs or other tools like slow-mo, inducting stasis and gravity-manipulation kinesis puts a fresh spin on typical shooter affair. Even if you played the first two games, Dead Space 3's combat is still some of the most unique and satisfying of this console generation.

By Disc 2 you would have crashed on the frozen planet of Tau Volantis, where Isaac must comb the harsh environment for raw materials and scavenged parts. He will then put his engineering skills to test to create and customise weapons and survival tools. The ice planet holds the key to ending the Necromorph plague forever, but first Isaac must overcome avalanches, treacherous ice-climbs,and the violent wilderness. Facing deadlier evolved enemies and the brutal elements at this point it turns into more of an action game rather than a horror, in which true Dead Space die hard fans (me being one of them) it disappoints! Because if i wanted to play an action game i would have played Gears of War or some other third-person shooter.

But as a whole that is my problem with the game as the game looks amazing Visceral Games highly modified Godfather engine handily renders everything in glistening, crystalline clarity.
Also gameplay time if played slowly and methodically, looking for every artifact, hidden items and Peng!, you can spend between 15-20 hours, including all the optional side missions, Once you beat it and then start grinding for overclocked and supercharged weapon parts in new game+, you can run it in 8-10 hours. Same goes for co-op as its a faster play through

Verdict 8/10
