Army of Two The Devils Cartel Review & Gameplay

Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel is a third-person shooter video game developed by the Montreal branch of Visceral Games.

It is the third game in the Army of Two series, following 2008's Army of Two and 2010's Army of Two: The 40th Day. The game takes place in Mexico and pits T.W.O. against a ruthless drug cartel known as La Guadaña. It is the first game in the series to run on the Frostbite 2 game engine where as the previous two ran on Unreal Engine 3

Where as the last two games focused around characters, Salem and Rios, Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel will focus around two new T.W.O. operatives named Alpha and Bravo. It is speculated that the reasoning behind the unidentified names is to give the player the feeling that it is them fighting through the missions.
Returning from the first game is the Overkill mode, which makes both players invincible for a short period of time. However, features such as back to back, playing rock, paper and scissors with your partner, and other co-op interactions have been removed in favor of a more fast-paced gameplay and fast -pace is what you get its smooth and just a really good third-person shooter and a brilliant storyline to go with it I really enjoyed this game I'm glad I checked this game out because I wasn't going to with all the mixed reviews from critics flying about with the big guns IGN giving it 5.0 also OXM 5.0 and a metascore of 54 it wasn't looking to good for Army of Two The Devils Cartel but I wasn't disappointed in my eyes it the best in the series so far. so if your looking for a game where you just feel like a total bad ass or your starring in an Micheal Bay/Jerry Bruckheimer then this game is for you. There's only one thing that bugged me with this game was Alpha and Bravo can’t even roll to avoid enemy fire and the enemies are easily the worst aspect of the experience. The AI are just rubbish characters will just charge out of cover with a death wish, they’ll let you run up and stab them without even reaching for the trigger thank god that partner AI is decent – he can always be counted upon to revive you and not get into too much trouble on his own

Verdict 7/10
